Our History

Our History

The Guild began in 1993 with two chapters of quilters. By 2002 the chapters had increased and The Quilting Guild of The Villages was officially established.

Today The Guild has more than 1,000 members with chapters meeting throughout The Villages. The Guild offers a variety of activities to stimulate the creativity in every quilter. From beginners to the most accomplished quilter, there’s something for everyone.

Guild meetings are held the first Tuesday evening of each month at Laurel Manor Recreation Center. Meetings feature nationally known quilt experts, trunk shows, show & tell opportunities and other learning activities of interest to those involved in the art of quilting.

QGOTV Purpose:
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote an interest in and appreciation of the art of quilting, share quilting information, provide Education for Guild Members and be of service to our community.
