Details of Various Committees
Audit Committee
The committee shall review and analyze receipts and disbursements of the Guild financials
bi-annually immediately after the mid-calendar year (January 1st – June 30th) and after the fiscal calendar year (January 1st – December 31st), and shall make a report to the Executive Board at the February Eboard Meeting.
Budget Committee
Annually Guild Treasurer will schedule a budget meeting or meeting(s) for the purpose of soliciting income and expense projection from all committees and Office holders who expect to have an impact on the Guild budget.
Charity/Community Service Donations Committee(s)
Facilitates the organization, coordination and implementation of Guild-level Community Service projects and Guild-level Charitable Donations. Maintains charity tracker (Excel) for treasurer.
Executive Board Special Committees Special or ad hoc committees, are created for a particular purpose and go out of existence when that purpose is completed. Special Committees may be established or abolished by the Executive Board as the need arises.
In-house Workshops Committee (M2M)
The In-House Workshops Chairperson shall organize, coordinate, and implement workshops instructed by Guild Members for Guild Members (Member to Member).
Long Range Planning Committee
Shall be responsible for exploring and addressing present and future needs of the Guild.
Membership Committee
Web committee mentors who coordinate with chapter representative to maintain the electronic membership enrollment and membership renewal. Membership Chair provides membership cards and coordinates ordering of name badge and chapter shirts. Also oversees new chapter welcome with membership introduction.
Marketplace Committee
Coordinates and plans the Marketplace event held in the even-numbered years and coordinates with a representative from each chapter.
Nominations and Election Committee
Facilitates the organization, coordination and implementation of the nominations and election.
Policy and Procedure Committee
Shall consist of three or more members of the guild who collectively possess understanding of the structure of the guild, have experience in writing procedures, and are knowledgeable about Robert’s Rules of Order.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee shall consist of representatives from each chapter, and is Chaired by the Guild Vice President.
Public Relations Committee
Consists of a Chairperson and volunteer members who will coordinate Guild-level communications, including advertising, marketing, and promotional needs. Assists with advertising guidance for Showcase and Marketplace.
Showcase of Quilts Committee
Coordinates and plans the Showcase of Quilts held in the odd-numbered years and coordinates with a representative from each chapter.
Website Committee
Plans and maintains the Guild website and coordinates with a representative from each Chapter.
