Sunday are sewdays; the newest quilting possibility in The Villages
The Guild now has a room every Sunday afternoon at Sterling Heights' Torch Lake Room from noon until 4:20 p.m. Esther Meinhardt will be the room monitor, in charge of scheduling activities. The room will be available for In-House Teacher classes; special Guild or Chapter committee meetings; special activity meetings; and for a Sew-In (general quilting) as available. Until now we haven't been able to sponsor the classes that need to meet two or more times over a series of consecutive weeks. Thanks to VP Ruth Mazurski and the Program Committee for all of their work supporting our needs!
PHOTOS BELOW from the First Sew-In (Nov 24) and it was a lot of fun ... as evidenced by the smiling faces. Row 1, from left: Sheddy Reese, SeaBreeze's outgoing Chapter President plans on having more sewing time soon; Ruth Mazurski, Guild VP and Program chair from Lake Miona was enjoying the time to actually sew; Jane Abbott from Sterling Heights was happy for some company. Row 2, from left: Christy Aerni from Piecemakers and Jeanette Flint, a former Guild President and Lake Miona quilter; and your elusive Webmaster, Marilyn Paluszak from Allamanda, actually sewing on a favorite UFO thanks to Sheddy's help getting her bobbin bobbing! As always, click a photo to enlarge it.
