Criteria for Application:
High school graduating seniors who live in Sumter, Marion, or Lake Counties, in Florida, who have demonstrated evidence of ALL of the following are eligible to apply:
- Accomplishments in extracurricular sewing (Does not include knitting and crochet)
- Leadership Skills
- Community service activities
- Commitment to continuing education
The QGOTV Scholarship Application is available beginning in October for the following year’s graduating seniors. The application deadline is March 31st each year.

- One page essay as described in the Application for Scholarship Award
- Supporting documents/photo’s relating to your sewing achievements
- Two letters of reference from non-family members who have known you for at least two years.
Must include name & contact numbers for references.

Submission Information:
It is the applicant’s responsibility, not the guidance counselors, to mail the application in a timely manner (allow 5-10 business days) to arrive by the deadline date of March 31st each year. Starting in October 2025 for the 2026 graduating seniors, the scholarship application process will also be available for completion and submission online.
